Their Autobiographies
I began creative writing with a small task - tell me about yourself and your writing experiences. Here is what they had to say. Their thoughts and insights have me thinking - pondering not only what we will do in this course but what I (and others) do or don't do enough of.
Enjoyable to me
Means a lot to me (talking about a story written in 8th grade)
Enjoy being able to write
able to express myself like I haven't before
I don't have time
A relaxing hobbyEnjoyable to me
I always dread
Favorite type is free writingMeans a lot to me (talking about a story written in 8th grade)
Enjoy being able to write
Write about
ourselves
or
something we
are interested in
. . . Let alone have enough time to write anything . . .
Used to enjoy writing
I have no time to write
Free range topics
Writing
whatever
I feel my mind
is wanting
to spill that day.
Free write
Enjoyable as well as
frustrating
Broaden my horizons -able to express myself like I haven't before
When it comes to writing, I
am
not
a work
of art
I use my writing to express
how I feel
Real world type of writing
Write what you like . . . expand that topic . . . break it down into pieces
I get to choose
what
I write about . . . students don't get that opportunity enough in school
A way to express themselves
Getting the motivation to write
It is your's; no one else's
